From seeds to business

‘’From seed to business’’ training. Many (young) entrepreneurs can use some support in growing and managing their company activities.

Since last year Marisse became one of the trainers from the training ’’From seed to business’’ from MyFarm, Africa startup. The training is setup by Africa startup to encourage youth and adults to professionalize there ‘’small business’’. Themes we discuss in the training are business planning, sustainability, marketing, packaging, labelling, pricing and we will give more insights about sales. Also the power of people will be treated where we look what kind of qualities we need to identify to make are business grow.

The training is setup and given at My Farm, Africa startup, who have an amazing education centrum in The Gambia. At MyFarm you can experience how amazing working together with nature is and how to produce products in a sustainable way. Besides the gardens you also find a soap factory, producing room, solar ovens, computer rooms and learning labs where students can do their research.

With the training ‘’from seed to business’’ we want to inspire the youth and adults and learn them to professionalize their businesses. We bring them to the production processes of MyFarm, coach them with their own business(ideas) and introduce them inside the network of starting up companies in The Gambia.

A lot of (starting up) businesses can use this training, but they do not always have the financial means to do this. The Foundation for Humanity and Nature connections is active involved with recruiting new students, finding sponsors and financing the training to individuals.
